The Walk, JBR

What are you expecting today? What am i expecting? Oh yeah, Eggspectation. Well Eggspectation is a restaurant down at The Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence. As the same sounds, you can definitely expect eggssss...

Definitely a place for a lavish breakfast, a variety of egg options to choose from. What's the highlight? Oh come on, need to ask? Of course, Bacon and Eggs Benedict!

Peaceful Evening

Unfortunately for us we were there during evening... but well, i simply love this place. Love the variety of eggs option. I always welcome eggs in my every meal.

Eggspectation Restaurant

I was amaze that our evening meal experience was actually quite impressive here. I wasn't "expecting" much since it was "eggspectation" more like something to "expect" in the morning. The food was actually very delicious, with generous portion. Value for money.

Yum Yum

We had the "Uneggspected" (AED 85.00) traditional steak and egg. Angus ribeye steak, medium cook, with two any-style eggs, toast and homemade Lyonnaise-style potatoes. Next the Bacon Mac & Cheese (AED 58.00), a simple twist of old favourite, penne pasta tossed in a creamy cheese sauce with tomato concasse and chopped crispy beef bacon and caramelised onions served with toasted garlic crostini. For drinks we had Aqua Panna (AED12.00).

I imagine it's difficult to find value for money meals over there.

You know, we actually have this restaurant here in Montreal, Canada, but I have never tried it yet! Thank you so much for sharing, Irvine! :)

Haha all the 'eggs' puns. What's that with the kiwi slice? Looks like breakfast but probably 'steak n eggs' from your description.

I see some guyss in the first pic looking like the illegal immigrants we have here, lots and lots of them, more and more these days. All the same story, they are qualified marine people, paid a fortune to come over to work, dumped by the dishonest agents who absconded with their money - dunno how true this is. So many being cheated in this same way - surely word must have gone round back home not to trust these agents and fall into their trap?

Linda it was good. worth a try! definitely for breakfast.

Stacy the mixtures definitely is kinda weird. Anyway was having dinner thats why steak :D

NuxV probably they won't. Kopitiam will defeat them.

Hi Suituapui, indeed they are poor background people. There are many here working as cheap labours. Thats how rich ppl get richer! lol.

I see they serve other food such as steak and bacon, not only eggs but do all the dishes come with eggs? Are there any dishes without eggs? I like to eat eggs too, especially omelette!

Mun there definitely is, i do remember few salads and main course without. but i did not take close note on those since we are in eggspectation? lol.
