Exploring Dubai - Desert Safari #Dubai

Dune Bashing

Time for Desert Safari round 2! Have always been anticipating for a second round. First time we went with my family and sister at Abu Dhabi, it was an exceptional experience. Dune Bashing! Sand boarding! Quad Biking! A delicious bbq dinner night in the desert while performers takes the stage. Belly dancing!

Again, Dune Bashing is a form of off-roading on sand dunes. A very interesting experience and quite a rough ride. The sand dunes are like hills. So this ride may not be suitable for old people with back issues.

We took the  back seat. Lets Roll!

This time we departed from Dubai. Our tour agent is called FunTours. Our package was AED180/person. A complete evening desert safari package that includes pick up/drop off, dune bashing, desert photo stops, camel riding and bbq dinner.

Our Desert Gang
Jump Shot 1 - Failure
Jump Shot 2 - failure
Jump Shot 3 - Solo Much Easier!

After about 15min of dune bashing, i must admit, i did not felt quite right and having quite an upset stomach. Getting old! Fortunately the dune bashing only lasted around 10-20mins. We did some photo stops and now headed towards the camp site where we will have our bbq dinner and performance. Of course there are other activities outside the campsite like quad biking, camel riding, sand boarding and etc.

The Camp
We got the front seat! Early Birds always the Best!
Some Local Snacks
Some Local Snacks
Local Soda Drinks!

Interesting Dance.
Oh Yeah, the belly one.
This one was the highlight.
Best Performance!

Alright, we did enjoyed ourselves really much. Desert safari have not disappoint us again. Unfortunately did not really know the names of the other performance besides the belly dancing. The food for this tour was ok, not as good as the ones we had following the Abu Dhabi tour. However, having many more performances, as Abu Dhabi one only have Belly Dancing. Well, i am expecting my third desert safari experience to come, this time, platinum safari.

Keeping cool
Stay tune for more of the Middle East
